Both individual music lessons and the curriculum as a whole need to provide opportunities for the following:
A) Experience- perceiving and reflecting intuitively on the musical work
B) Reflecting upon, and bringing to conscious awareness aspects of the experience
C) Analysis ofaspects of the experience in terms of music analytical concepts
D) Expressing creatively what the learner has absorbed from the experience.
